It is getting to be that time of year again when the ghost and goblins come out to play for just one night. A proverbial fashion parade for the wicked. You have an idea if you hear a knock at the door and a loud “Trick or treat!” ring out. What if that call is also accompanied by a high pitched bark. What are you expecting to see then? With more and more people getting into the “Spirit” of things for Halloween, more costumes are becoming available for dog lovers too. You might open the door and find a 4 legged land shark or a furry pirate.
There are some things to consider when your shopping for a costume for your Miniature Pinscher. Know your Min Pins measurements. Sizing charts such as XS , S , M all are tailored to a size. Don’t just look at the lettering sizing but also the inches listed. Another thing to look for in the design of the costume is the ability for your Miniature Pinscher to do its “business” freely without getting it on the costume. Lastly, if the costume comes with some sort of headgear, I would look to see if it works with the ears and the eyes. My Min Pin was very picky about things touching much less blocking his natural freestanding ears. He also did not like having his vision blocked in any way. Remember that Miniature Pinschers are very alert dogs and tend to want to stay that way.
Here I am going to show you an assortment of available costumes from PETCO.com. I will be narrowing my search to Xtra Small size only. If you want to find out more about a costume you see here then just click on the photo and you will be taken to the PETCO page for that outfit in a new window.
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween everyone and to you Min Pins reading over your Masters shoulders, stay away from the Chocolates please. We want to keep you around for many more Spooky Seasons!
